MEET HET grew out of a collaboration between three independent practitioners and former fellow students and has the ambition to become an area-wide network in Flanders.

Our network of surveyors and associated experts was created because we are convinced that, as a surveyor or expert, it is impossible to be specialized in everything.

This collaboration allows us to offer a wide range of surveying services in various geographic regions and by specialists in their field.

The local anchoring, minimal travel and closeness to the region of our surveyors and experts is highly appreciated by many of our clients.

The MEET HET history

Immediately after graduation, Jonas Van Dosselaer, Bram Van Londersele and Jonas Van Hooreweghe started their own surveying practice in 2010. Each in their own region, with their own clientele, in other disciplines of surveying and under a different name.

All did know an experienced surveyor-expert to whom they could seek advice. These mentors still thank them to this day, but could not call on them monthly, weekly, let alone daily for help.

It soon became clear that Bram and the Jonases had the most help from each other. For example, they jumped in with each other during peaks or troughs in workloads, ensured continuous service with their clients during vacations or illness, and the works were performed by a specialist in the field.

Since they also had the ambition to take on projects that required more than one surveyor and special techniques in addition to classical surveying, a collaboration was imminent for such challenging assignments.

Working together was the key to success for them.

Since the cooperation was not always clear to the clients, since each still had its own brand name, it was decided to go public under one common banner. The brand name “MEET HET” saw the light of day in 2011.

If they were already strong with three, what could an association with even more surveyors mean? In 2012, MEET HET’s growth model was reviewed together with the Center for Entrepreneurship in a thesis by Olivier Miserez, then a student of SME Management at the Hogeschool Gent.

From these findings, a licensing model was chosen for further development of the association.

In 2013, an initial licensing agreement was entered into with surveyor-expert Florence Leroy. She is manager of the Waarschoot office and specializes in appraisals and legal property issues.

In the meantime, the network experienced continued growth and MEET HET consists of a multidisciplinary team of surveyors and experts.

MEET HET is an atypical surveying company and the world’s first franchise organization for surveyors. As a result, it earned the UNIZO “commercial cooperation” seal of approval in 2011 and was named “most promising SME in West Flanders” in 2014.
