Point cloud – Laser scanning

Laser scanners are used to measure the entire space in 3D, based on a point cloud of millions of measurement points.

But what do we mean by a point cloud?
A point cloud is a mass of data, millions of dots with XYZ coordinates.
We then link the point clouds of individual positions together, recording a joint point cloud.

We use this as the base data for preparing 2D plans or 3D models.
Moreover, coloring the point cloud can be done in different ways: in photorealistic colors, according to intensity or according to height.

Would you like to learn how to work with point clouds yourself?
Then we would be happy to help you get started in your own software.
