The avant-premiere of MEET HET Zelf
On Friday, April 22, the preview of MEET HET Zelf took place at the headquarters in Mariakerke. The concept was extensively explained, demonstrations were given and we ended with delicious croques.
By now, everyone in our network already knows of the existence of MEET HET Zelf, MEET HET’s web rental shop, aimed at independent surveyors and other offices. “At the preview there were about 10 people. I had hoped for about 20 people, but the people who were there were the important people I was hoping for. They were interested to super interested. I’d rather have 10 people like that, than 30 people only half as interested. The intention was to do it en petit comité anyway,” says Bram Van Londersele.
“The ones who were there are mainly already doing monitoring and scanning but were bumping up against their limits or sometimes didn’t have the right tools in house and knew that we do. So with this group, we can become the extension of their business, so to speak.”
“Others also get asked to do things that they can’t answer right now or that they should ignore. So either they are already working on it and want to do things they can’t do yet due to a lack of tools and would like to use ours and our know-how, or they are not working on it yet and are interested in it and can use our equipment and services for that as well.”
Who was present?
“Different profiles. There were people from Jan De Nul, Farys, surveyors who work for hydraulic contractors, business managers who have their own surveyor’s office and water system managers.”
How did the event go?
“On the one hand, we said that we are going to launch soon, it’s pretty much ready. On the other hand, we briefly explained what we want to do, which is the same explanation the licensees received at the team day in February. A demo from Inclinatus was also given. They have marketed a tray in the Netherlands that allows you to convert your device into a monitoring device for €200 per month, software and hardware included. With MEET HET Zelf we will be the only distributor of this in Belgium. In addition, Jonas V.H. also explained what we do with scans and what the possibilities are for that.”
“The idea is still to have a rental service for both monitoring and surveying. So they can do some things themselves and other things will be done by someone from MEET HET. Monitoring can be seen more as a service, just like the mobile mapping cart and harness. Licensees will be free to use the latter two if they have received training for this (which will be an MH Academy or a Masterclass). Externals are not going to be able to do this, they are required to hire someone from MEET HET with them.
