Settlement measurements – view of stability

Work in the subsurface can have an effect on the environment. Buildings, structures or roads can slowly move or subside – often barely visible to the naked eye. Yet the impact can be significant. Monitoring the stability of surrounding structures is therefore essential, not only for safety, but also for the confidence of contractors, clients and local residents.

MEET HET accurately tracks settlements through repeated measurements of fixed control points. Depending on the method, we can even detect millimeter subsidence. We offer both manual and fully automatic systems tailored to the risk and requirements of the project.

For manual measurements, a surveyor takes measurements at fixed intervals (e.g., daily or weekly) with high-end equipment. For projects with continuous risk, we install fully automated systems that measure 24/7, transmit data and make it available in real time.

All measurement data are compiled in our own online platform MEMO, where customers can monitor the progress live. With automatic monitoring, alarm thresholds can be set. Is a threshold exceeded? Then all those involved receive immediate notification via text message, e-mail or – if desired – via a siren on the site.

Settlement measurements bring peace of mind and clarity to situations with potential risk. They give certainty to contractors and provide transparency to residents and clients. That way you stay in control – even when the subsurface moves.
