Want to build against an existing home?
If so, the first thing you should do is check whether the dividing wall is a “common wall.
By “common wall” we mean the wall on the boundary line, owned by the owners of the two separate estates.
Aren’t you a co-owner?
Then you must compensate the owner for the part of the wall you wish to use.
If you are a co-owner, but wish to use a larger part of the wall due to expansion work, you will have to pay a fee for this as well.
How do we proceed?
Calculating the correct value requires in-depth knowledge and expertise.
Our surveyor expert performs a detailed measurement of the entire partition wall, then determines the value of the part to be taken over.
The works will start as soon as the official report of wall removal is approved and signed by both parties.
